Service Description
This small group handgun training session in Merrill, WI focuses on keeping your handgun running when it matters. This is a coached session, not an open practice. You will receive direct feedback to build smooth, efficient gun handling under pressure. When something goes wrong, your ability to respond quickly and correctly matters. This session focuses on simple, repeatable techniques to clear malfunctions and perform reloads with confidence and control. You will learn how to recognize common issues and take immediate action to get your handgun back into operation. We break each process into clear steps, then reinforce them through guided repetition. This is not about rushing. It is about staying calm, efficient, and in control. What You Will Learn: - Emergency reloads (slide lock) - Tactical reloads - Failure to fire (tap, rack) - Stovepipe malfunctions - Double feed clearing - Recognizing and responding to common issues What You Will Practice: - Step-by-step reload techniques - Malfunction clearing drills - Dry fire repetitions - Live fire exercises to reinforce efficiency and control Why This Matters: These skills help you: - Quickly get your handgun back into operation - Stay calm and in control under stress - Build confidence handling unexpected issues - Maintain consistency during more advanced drills Who This Is For: - Students with a basic handgun foundation - Shooters ready to improve gun handling skills - Anyone wanting to build confidence managing malfunctions and reloads What to Bring: - Handgun - 2 to 3 magazines minimum - Magazine carrier recommended - 150 to 200 rounds of ammunition - Eye and ear protection - Water - Weather-appropriate clothing - Sunscreen and bug spray (if needed) - Notebook and pen for notes Targets will be provided. Range Fee: Range fee is paid directly to the range and is not included in the class price. Additional Notes: - Holster use is optional - Students who completed Draw and Presentation may work from holster - Others will work from a ready position Instructor Note: This session is focused on quality and consistency. We will move at a pace that allows for coaching, feedback, and improvement. Series Note: This class is part of the Roble Defense Handgun Skills Series. Students who complete 4 of 6 classes in the Skills Series will earn an exclusive challenge patch.
