Service Description
Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict-avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun, and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. For online payments, you will be directed to https://training.usconcealedcarry.com/ to register and complete the payment process. This is a 6-hour day course plus range time. Breaks will be taken throughout the training. Please bring your own lunch. Bottled water will be provided. The class is held at the Lincoln County Sports Club located on Schulz Spur Road in Merrill, WI. This is not a basic handgun course but our course does cover firearms safety and the use of a firearm. If you have never shot a handgun prior to taking this course please contact us. We recommend taking our Basic Handgun course prior to the Concealed Carry Course. This course is accepted by Florida and Minnesota! We do require that you bring the handgun you intend on using for concealed carry along with 50 rounds of ammunition. Live fire certification is required. If you do not currently own a handgun or ammunition please contact us. Special arrangements can be made if necessary. Each student will receive the "Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals" book ($35 value) and an annual membership to the Lincoln County Sports Club ($25 value). Also, a $5 donation for each student will be gifted to the club for hosting the event. We will discount your tuition cost if you are already a member of the Lincoln County Sports Club. You must provide proof of your membership. Each student is responsible for paying the application fee to the WI DOJ, FL DOJ, and/or MN DOJ. We do not charge you more to take our course if you choose to get your Florida Carry License! All learning activities are conducted in a safe and comfortable environment.
